On the Feast of the Epiphany, and perhaps in the days that follow, it is traditional that we seek God\u2019s blessing on our homes and on those who live in or visit the home. It is an invitation for Jesus to be a daily guest in our home, our comings and goings, our conversations, our work and play, our joys and sorrows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A traditional way of doing this is to use chalk, blessed at Mass on the Epiphany, to write above the home\u2019s entrance as shown in the above graphic and for a special blessing from the Rituale Romanum<\/em> to be given by the priest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The letters C, M, B have two meanings:
\n\u2022 They are the initials of the traditional names of the three magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar.
\n\u2022 They also abbreviate the Latin words Christus mansionem benedicat<\/em>, \u201cMay Christ bless the house.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201c+\u201d signs represent the cross and 2020 is the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
