Saint Benedict’s accessible to large families. It will be possible for families who cannot afford the full fees to agree with the Trustees to a reduced rate. We do not wish to exclude anyone because of financial considerations. Nevertheless, we ask our families to bear in mind that even the full fee is not sufficient to cover the overall costs of Saint Benedict’s. We remain dependant on our generous benefactors and entrust their intentions to the prayers of our children, parents, and staff.

Monthly payment of fees and security deposit:

Payment for Academy fees is due on the first of each calendar month.  The first payment is to be made on 1st August, prior to the beginning of the academic year.  The final monthly payment is due on 1st May of the following year.

The early payment of fees in August helps to ensure that the Academy has sufficient resources for upfront costs at the beginning of the academic year.  The initial payment will also serve as a security deposit. In the event that a family withdraws from Saint Benedict’s Academy during the course of the year, fees already paid in advance will not be refunded unless the family gives notice at least three months prior to departure.

Registration fee and early enrolment:

There is also a registration fee at the beginning of the academic year, equivalent to ¼ of the family’s normal monthly payment.  This fee will be waived for families who make the first payment on time and register with the Academy prior to 1st August.

The following table indicates the registration fee after August 1st for each family, based on the number of children enrolling.

Fee Assistance & Bursaries:

Sensitive to the financial hardship families may experience in raising and educating their children in the Catholic faith, the Academy seeks to accommodate those who are unable to pay the full fee. As outlined above, it is possible for families who cannot afford to cover the full fees to agree with the Trustees to a reduced rate. We do not wish to exclude anyone because of financial considerations.

Books & Lunches:

Book bills are normally to be paid at the beginning of the academic year, upon reception.  Payment should be made prior to 1st October, unless other arrangements are made with the trustees of the Academy.

The Academy does not provide lunches. Children should bring a packed lunch on Monday of the Academy week and may bring a snack each day.

Damage to Academy property:

Where damage is caused to the Academy’s property through a pupil’s negligence or wanton act, that pupil will be charged with the full cost of the repairs, at the discretion of the Principal.

Withdrawal of a Pupil:

In all cases, in the event that a family withdraws from the Saint Benedict Academy during the course of an academic year, fees already paid in advance will not be refunded by the Academy unless the family gives notice of at least three months prior to departure.

External Examination:

The cost of enrolment in, and assessment by, any and all external examination (including but not limited to GCSE and A-Level subjects etc.) will be borne exclusively by the parents of the child(ren) concerned. The Academy will not be liable for any costs relating to external examination but commits to providing, where possible, teaching and tutoring in order to prepare students for such assessment, should they choose to pursue it.
