ORDINATIONS 2014

As every year, the first week of July witnessed the ordination of numerous young men at the Institute’s seminary in Florence, Italy. Four priests, ten deacons, nine subdeacons, over 40 seminarians who received the cassock or one of the minor orders! (Four additional priests were ordained for the Institute in August in the U.S.A.) Please pray for these young vocations, especially for the two young seminarians who are pursuing their formation with us here in Preston this year. Video montage of Ordinations Week:

Regina: Father Christmas Comes Home to St Walburge

An Interview with Canon Altiere by Michael Durnan

Excerpt:  Canon Altiere is a priest with the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign priest (ICKSP) at the Shrine of St. Walburge in Preston, a historically Catholic town in northern England. A year ago, however, Saint Walburge’s fate hung by a thread. Though a most beloved landmark – and a center of faith going back 150 years —  changing demographics had rendered its future very uncertain.
