We are delighted to announce that public Mass will resume at St Walburge’s and English Martyrs’ from Sunday 5th July, following the permission that has been granted by the civil and ecclesiastical authorities. The schedule will be:

Sundays:
9 am: Low Mass (EM)
10.30 am: Low Mass (SW)
6.30 pm: Low Mass (SW)

Weekdays:
8.30 am: Low Mass (SW)
12 noon: Low Mass (EM)

Your priests are available to hear confessions at call.

We have received a lot of favourable coverage of our opening of the Spire for people to explore the 172 steps and see the panoramic views of Preston and beyond. An item on Granada Reports can be viewed here.

Sunday, 10th November, was Remembrance Sunday, and on this day, at the Memorial Altar dedicated to the men of Preston who fell during the Great War, a Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated. At the end, the catafalque before the high altar was incensed. Photography is courtesy of Michael Durnan.
