Canon Michael Wiener, a native German from Hamburg, entered seminary in the age of 33 and was ordained priest in 1999 by His Eminence, Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke (then bishop of La Crosse, Wisconsin). Canon Wiener served in the diocese of Basel, Switzerland, from 1999 to 2005, from 2005 to 2008 Canon was responsible for the Institute’s apostolate in Oakland, California and was appointed rector of St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis, Missouri in 2008. In 2019, Canon Wiener returned to Oakland for one year before he arrived in Shrewsbury.
Father Joseph Anthony Gribbin
Fr. Gribbin came originally from Scotland. He spent a long time at university studying history, before he entered the Premonstratensian Order. He was ordained in the abbey of Tongerloin Belgium and returned to England over three years ago. He is completing his studies in canon law, and among various pastoral duties, he was a chaplain to nuns and was active as a priest in various parishes. After a year spent with the Institute in our apostolate of Preston, and another one at the Dome of Home in New Brighton, he is now working in St Winefride’s.
