Change to Weekly Schedule

Starting on 21st September 2022, the Wedneday celebration of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will take place at 7.00am rather than the previous 10.00am commencement.

This applies only to each Wednesday and does not affect any other day.

The schedule from the 21st September:

Sunday: 12:30 pm
Monday: 10:00 am
Tuesday: 6:30 pm (Adoration/Benediction 5:30 pm)
Wednesday: 7:00 am
Thursday: 6:30 pm (Adoration/Benediction 5:30 pm)
Friday: 10:00 am
Saturday: 10:00 am

Please make a note of the new time.

Relic of Saint Bernadette in Shrewsbury

Saint Bernadette Relic Tour 2022

The relic of Saint Bernadette will be in our Diocese on Tuesday 13th September in Shrewsbury Cathedral and Wednesday 14th September in Saint Werburgh’s Chester.

This is an amazing opportunity and time of grace for us. Those wishing to venerate the relic are strongly encouraged to book a time to visit via the national website here,

Update on Masses at St Winefride’s (22/08/22)

There will be no weekday Masses at St Winefride’s this week.

It was necessary to cancel the scheduled Masses on the 24th and 26th August because the priest is unable to come on those days. He hopes to be able to come the following week on 31 August and 2 September.

This arrangement will be confirmed or cancelled by the end of this week. Please check this space for further information.

Canon away – Updated 12 August

Canon Wiener will be away in the second half of August, part of this time includes attendance at the General Chapter of the ICKSP at Gricigliano.

During his absence, Sunday Masses will be offered as usual at 12.30pm on August 21st and 28th.

Weekday Masses will be offered at 10.00am on 24th, 26th and 31st August and 2nd September. All other weekday Masses are cancelled.

During the time of his absence (August 15th-September 3rd incl.), Canon Wiener will continue to celebrate daily holy Mass in the intentions that are listed in the weekly Mass schedule.

July is the month dedicated to the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

A spiritual talk entitled The Precious Blood will be held on Saturday, 9th July, 11.00am in the Parish Hall

Liturgy Fund Update

We are happy to announce that we will receive soon two new copes: a green one and a white cope with humeral veil and stole.

The green cope will serve on Sundays after Pentecost (there will be 21 Sundays in green before the end of the liturgical year). The white cope will be used even more frequently, twice a week during Benediction and on important feasts of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

With the help of the Liturgy Fund we were able to pay the Green Cope in full (see donation box).

Thanks to your generous donations, dear faithful, in the near future it will also be possible for us to pay for the white cope with stole and humeral veil (£1,414.00 total).

Please help us raise another £900.00 for this purpose.

May God reward you for all your help and material support, especially for your prayers on behalf of this apostolate of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest in Shrewsbury.
